As of last week 5,726 cyclists were registered for the 27th annual El Tour de Tucson, which this year will be held Nov. 21. The goal is to get to at least 8,600 cyclists but no more than 10,000.

A registration link is available online through the Perimeter Bicycling Association’s website — www.pbaa.com — which will be available through Nov. 16. In-person registration can be done through Nov. 17 at the Perimeter Bicycling Association’s office, 2609 E. Broadway, phone (520) 745-2033. Registration involves three fees: registration, processing and contribution. Last year’s event raised nearly $1.4 million for 15 charities.

Registrations also will be accepted at the El Tour Bike, Fitness & Health Expo at the Tucson Convention Center, 260 S. Church Ave., which will be open from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. Nov. 18; 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Nov. 19 and 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Nov. 20. Registrations will not be accepted the day of the ride.
