UA receives $1.3M to create telehealth center

The Arizona Telemedicine Program at the Universityof Arizona’s College of Medicine has received a $1.3 million federal grant to create the Southwest Regional Telehealth Resource Center.

The program is an effort to support the transition to electronic health records and implementation of telehealth services.

The Tucson-based Southwest Telehealth Center will cover Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah and will be one of seven regional resource centers in the United States.
