In response to public demand, the Pima County Health Department has moved its clinics for H1N1 vaccine. As of today (Oct. 26), the clinics will be Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon at the Tucson Electric Park, 2500 E. Ajo Way.
The vaccine is free but no other vaccinations will be given at the clinics.
Priority groups for the H1N1 nasal spray include healthy young children through young adults ages 2-24, healthy caregivers under age 50 who care for children younger than 6 months and healthy healthcare and emergency medical services personnel.
Priority groups for the injectable H1N1 vaccine include pregnant women, children 6 months to 18 years, young adults ages 19 to 24, healthcare workers who have a greater exposure rate to H1N1 influenza, and caregivers of infants under 6 months who can’t be vaccinated.
Information about the clinics is available online at
www.pimahealth.org or call (520) 243-7800.
