The University of Arizona’s Arizona Public Media will be hosting two live forums today (Oct. 26) — one of national importance and the other of local concern — both of which will be televised live via KUAT-TV’s digital channel PBS World.

The first event is “A Conversation on The Constitution: Principles of Constitutional and Statutory Interpretation,” a live discussion between Justice Antonin Scalia and Justice Stephen Breyer, which will offer a rare opportunity to see two sitting justices discussing the U.S. Constitution. It will be shown live from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The second event will be a Town Hall discussion on the Public Safety First Initiative, Proposition 200 on the Nov. 3 ballot in the city of Tucson. Proponents and opponents of the issue will be questioned by a panel of media representatives. It will be shown live beginning at 6 p.m.

Both events take place at the Tucson Convention Center’s Leo Rich Theater. Tickets for the Constitutional discussion have already been handed out but the first 500 people at the door at 5 p.m. will be seated for the Propostition 200 program.

PBS World is available over the air on channel 27-3 and on Cox cable channel 83 and Comcast cable channel 203.
