Three locations of the Tucson-based auto repair chain Brakemax have been designated as “green shops” by AAA Arizona.

The designation recognizes the shops’ reasonable and cost-effective efforts to conserve resources and protect the environment.

 The three Brakemax locations receiving the AAA designation are at 4545 N. First Ave., 2756 S. Kolb Road and 3245 N. Swan Road.

David Allen, service manager of the First Avenue location said it was important to meet the AAA requirements because “not only is it better for the environment, but it can help build confidence in our customers.”
