Retailer Anna’s Linens is conducting a search for entrepreneurial women in Arizona for “the next great product invented by Mom” to be carried in the company’s stores.

The retailer, based in Costa Mesa, Calif., launched the contest this month inviting mothers around Arizona to submit creative product ideas, which could then be manufactured and sold in Anna’s Linens 255 stores nationwide.

The products would be produced by Ginsey Home Solutions, Bellmar N.J., and sold under the “Mom Invented” label through a partnership with Mom Inventors Inc., which was founded by Tamara Monosoff, author of “The Mom Inventors Handbook” and “Secrets of Millionaire Moms.”

Submissions for the contest are due by Nov. 17 with the winner announced a month later, Dec. 17. The first-prize winner will receive $750 in cash and a $250 Anna’s Linens gift card and the second-prize winner gets $250 in cash and $150 store gift card. Both winners also will receive a licensing contract with Mom Inventors Inc. with their products launched next fall in Anna’s Linens stores.

Anna’s Linens has three stores in Tucson, 4724 E. Broadway at Swan Road, 605 E. Wetmore Road and 1171 W. Irvington Road. It also has one store in Nogales, at 409 W. Mariposa Road.
