Mack Dickerson, director of the Right of Way Division at Tierra Right of Way and Myrlene Francis, project manager, have earned the designation as senior member, international Right of Way Association. The association gives the awards to members who have achieved professional status through experience, education and examination.
Sami Raynes-Houseknecht is now a certified in Financial Forensics Credential by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Raynes-Houseknecht also received the Certified Internal Controls Auditor designation from The Institute for Internal Controls. This designation is given to CPAs who demonstrate expertise in the areas of internal controls.

TSgt. Jayme L. Scammahorn is the 2009 United Fire Firefighter of the Year. He has been a firefighter for 14 years and is currently a fire-service Captain stationed at the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. He is given the award for many reasons and among them was when he saved another firefighter in Iraq.

Tina Delgado is the new marketing director for the Santa Catalina Villas Retirement Community. She has been a member of the marketing team at Santa Catalina Villas for five years.
Elections
Arizona Public Media elected six new members to its Community Advisory Board. The new board members are John Geiger, Edith Auslander, Kristin Almquist, Adrian Shelton, Tom Hunt and Christopher Nagata,as a student board member. Board members are elected to three-year terms and student members to a one-year term. These members began their term Sept. 1.
New Hires
Steve Oesterle joined Long Mortgage Company as the new home mortgage consultant for the company’s Houghton and Sahuarita offices. Oesterle has more than 10 years of experience in the mortgage industry he previously worked as a mortgage executive for Coldwell Banker Home Loans and Chase Banks.
Appointments
Diana P. Hill is the new principal of the Lower School of Green Fields Country Day School which includes kindergarten through fifth grade. For the past nine years Hill was director of Tucson Community School.
The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain rounded out the rest of its leadership team with the addition of four new members. Claudia Campos is the new director of human resources. She has worked for four different Ritz-Carlton properties. Previously she was director of human resources for the Ritz-Carlton, Half-Moon Bay. David Columbus is the new director of finance. He has been with Ritz-Carlton for more than 11 years and has served at six Ritz-Carlton properties. Previously, he served as the director of finance for the Ritz-Carlton Phoenix. Bill Winston is the new director of facilities of the new resort. Winston has a 17-year tenure with the company and previously served at the Ritz-Carlton Phoenix. Kevin Kruse is the executive assistant manager of rooms. Kruse has more than 25 years of international experience with Ritz-Carlton. He was previously vice president of global security for the Ritz-Carlton Corporate Office.
Thad Bennett is the new General Manager of RDO Equipment Co. He has more than six years of previous experience working at a Caterpillar dealer in New Mexico and West Texas.
Lisa Humenik is the new president and CEO of the Volunteer Center of Southern Arizona. Humenik has been a member of the board of directors of the Volunteer Center since 2007, most recently serving as vice chair. Humenik has over 20 years of experience in nonprofit administration.
